visalign* technique1—par­ ticularly attachment designs that improve three­dimensional con­ trol of tooth movement—have resulted in new treatment strate­ gies for patients who need orthog­ nathic surgery.2­5 The Invisalign ClinCheck* can be used for diag­ nosis, visualization of treatment results, and sharing of informa­ tion with the patient and dental colleagues throughout treatment. Boyd has described the suc­ cessful use of the Invisalign sys­ tem with fixed appliances in the pre­ and postsurgical treatment of two Class III patients.6 The fol­ lowing case shows a Class III patient who was prepared for sur­ gery with the Invisalign system alone.
