visalign* technique1—par ticularly attachment designs that improve threedimensional con trol of tooth movement—have resulted in new treatment strate gies for patients who need orthog nathic surgery.25 The Invisalign ClinCheck* can be used for diag nosis, visualization of treatment results, and sharing of informa tion with the patient and dental colleagues throughout treatment. Boyd has described the suc cessful use of the Invisalign sys tem with fixed appliances in the pre and postsurgical treatment of two Class III patients.6 The fol lowing case shows a Class III patient who was prepared for sur gery with the Invisalign system alone.
